Load Dept Mapping Table
Previous Topic  Next Topic

This process loads Tables of data including Ward costcentres from HBCIS. Once running live WDC data is not imported again.

When you press the button A file Dialog Box will open. See UNC and All that Jazz

Dept mapping is only some of what this screen does.

All these are exported from HBCIS in the WDC file.

Data generally adds and replaces existing records.

While the Dept mapping occurs in the AutoLoad process, if you prefer, you can load files manually by selection the correct option in the Menu “Load Dept Mapping Table”

This form allows you to browse to select a file or files to load, loaded files are moved to the “Loaded” Directory. Each file from your System is names like "RBH.0511WDC.T2K5.CSV.gz" See Filenames and what they Mean Each file has all the mappings in it so only the most recent is necessary. Of course loading an earlier file is possible, but not desireable. Loading an already loaded file is pointless.

Format of the File

The file format is simple

Record Type, Company, Campus, TalonsCode,Description,Feeder, Native Code, T2 Dept Code,Ward Type,Unit Code, Campus Code, Start Date, End Date.

The File Could be loaded into Excel, however the view in an access project file connected to the to the database, or a Query in Excel to an external Data source would be simpler. This is the User View qe2_dept_mappings
