Prepare Hardware Need

CSH - given the variability of sites will prepare a general hardware and Software Specification

Hardware Procurement and Installation 

Site 

Including and up to Operating System Installation, 

• Server has to be assigned a permanent IP, DNS Set up and OS backup organised
• Default Talons User and password options to be set
• No Netware. No Active Directory. 
• Group and Security Policy control by negotiation.

VPN Access alteration

TSSS

Site will need to approve access to Fixed IP address of server and Approval to QH RAS via TSSS - forms available from TSSS

SQL Server Installation

Installed as a default instance, in Mixed Security Mode

Server Advanced Firewall Setup

Ports and application access settings  for 

• SQL server process and ports 1433 TCP, 1434 UDP
• On workstation, incoming rule for Talons Client Software (path to talons2006.exe file)
• On Server, incoming and outgoing Application Access for talon2006.exe, talons2006Service.exe and TalonsServiceWatcher.exe (Incoming and Outgoing due to FTP sending and receiving  using any port)
• FTP Access on TCP 21 for IIS7 Ftp Server
• Web access port 80 for Update program
