You will be advised of the Settings in this screen. The test message may take some time to get to you. It may only be sent as the application exits. The error message mail system severely limits the rate of sending messages to prevent being identified as a spam source. In addition in the event of a dodgy file or something queuing more than 20 messages in a short space of time, it will be turned off. The messages will be logged in the “Error Logfiles” directory of course. This directory is placed where you normally keep your input files.
The Server name if changed will require a re-start of the application to test. You will be advised of the server IP address or FQDN (fully qualified Domain Name) and port if it is not 25.
There may be corporate issues preventing the use of the mail system.
